Ponce Inlet and New Smyrna Beach, Mosquito Lagoon, the St. Johns River, and Marathon Key, in the Florida keys. Ponce Inlet, Mosquito Lagoon, Daytona & New Smyrna Beach, and the St. Johns River are the primary location for trips. Captain Matt grew up fishing and learning everything there is to know in these waters. And holds the special-use permit to fish in the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge. Seasonally, Captain Matt can be found chasing Tarpon in Marathon (Florida Keys) in late Spring/early Summer.
The Bay Runner is a 22' Sea Chaser Bay Boat, powered by a 150HP Yamaha and a 36V MinnKota I-Pilot Trolling motor. That still manages to get into shallow water while remaining comfortable passing thru the inlet and running the beaches. The boat is equipped with top of the line electronics and is capable of taking out groups of up to 5 guests at a time!
The Redfisher is a 21’ Hewes, powered by a 225 Yamaha V-Max and a 80lb thrust 24V MinnKota trolling motor. This boat is a fast, smooth riding, comfortable platform that allows us to not only get into shallower spots but get there fast and comfortably as well. The Hewes has been a staple in the flats boat game since the very begenning. It can accommodate up to 4 guest at a time!
Captain Matt Brockman A fully Licensed USCG Captain. Born and raised in the North Central Florida area and has a lifetime of experience on and around the water. Fishing has always played a major role in his life, and inshore fishing in particular has been his primary expertise. Fishing in the local redfish tournaments since the age of 14, he's always been a very dedicated angler. Captain Matt is also a second generation fisherman of the New Smyrna Beach, Ponce Inlet and Mosquito Lagoon areas.
